Well, today I am 40. Hence, the later and shorter post. We’ve been having a party (very small, at home!) this morning!
Here’s what I’ve learned in my very few hours of being 40.
A global pandemic cannot stop love. A stay-at-home order cannot keep people from celebration-at-a-distance. Friends and family are a rich, rich gift. Words cannot be quarantined.
I received a birthday card with a reminder of Proverbs 17:22. A cheerful heart is good medicine. This morning, I’ve experienced the truth of this proverb. My family and friends have showered me with love and cheer from afar. And it has been the best medicine. Today, will you pass some of this cheer along to someone else? Make a phone call, write a note, send a text. Be an unexpected dose of good medicine today. I’d imagine you will reap the benefits in your own soul as well.
With hope,
Kate
